Je dois avouer qu\u2019\u00e0 part le mois de d\u00e9cembre, on ne trouve pas beaucoup d\u2019indices pour se situer avec la musique.\r\n \r\nJe suis donc parti avec l\u2019id\u00e9e de faire douze pi\u00e8ces instrumentales diff\u00e9rentes et pour se faire, j\u2019ai assign\u00e9 une tonalit\u00e9 pour chacun des mois.  Donc, le premier mois, janvier est en DO, f\u00e9vrier est en R\u00c9 b\u00e9mol et ainsi de suite en montant d\u2019un demi-ton \u00e0 chaque mois.  Toutes les pi\u00e8ces finissent sur le Ve degr\u00e9 de la pi\u00e8ce suivante.\r\n \r\nJ\u2019ai proc\u00e9d\u00e9 presque toujours en enregistrant la batterie en premier et puis, en ajoutant une \u00e0 une les autres pistes jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que je juge que c\u2019en \u00e9tait assez.  J\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 ce projet en 2006, et n\u2019y suis pas all\u00e9 syst\u00e9matiquement par ordre.Je me suis assur\u00e9 au d\u00e9part de ne pas toujours utiliser les m\u00eames suites d\u2019accords et les m\u00eames tempos.  Il y a quelques s\u00e9quences et aussi 2 loops que j\u2019ai utilis\u00e9s et qui seront mentionn\u00e9s dans la description de chacun des mois qui suit mais, la majorit\u00e9 des sons est produite en temps r\u00e9el avec un synth\u00e9tiseur MIDI branch\u00e9 dans une interface pour aller chercher des sons de type VST dans l\u2019ordinateur.\r\n \r\nDonc, m\u00eame si je nomme les sons par le nom des instruments comme piano et basse ect, ce sont toujours des sons virtuels sauf la batterie (ensemble de tambours et de cymbales).  J\u2019ai fait ce projet avec l\u2019intention de jouer la batterie sans la corriger.  C\u2019est dans cet esprit que j\u2019ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 ce projet.  \u00c0 ma batterie j\u2019ai ajout\u00e9 un pad qui contenait ses sons \u00e0 lui et il est toujours jou\u00e9 faisant partie int\u00e9grante de ma batterie. J\u2019ai toutefois converti l\u2019audio en MIDI et doubler certains tambours avec des sample pour amplifier \u00e0 l\u2019occasion.\r\n \r\nCe projet au d\u00e9part a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u afin de servir \u00e0 amener un autre projet d\u00e9j\u00e0 enregistr\u00e9 \u00ab Schetagne & gang!!! \u00bb. Comme j\u2019avais d\u00e9pens\u00e9 toutes mes \u00e9conomies avec le projet Schetagne & gang qui est rest\u00e9 sur les tablettes et qui n\u2019a donc jamais rapport\u00e9 un sou, j\u2019ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de pondre le projet Les 12 mois avec les moyens du bord.  C\u2019est-\u00e0-dire que j\u2019ai enregistr\u00e9, chaque piste moi-m\u00eame avec les moyens dont je disposais.\r\n \r\nJe n\u2019ai b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019aucune subvention.\r\n\r\n(English)\r\nThe idea germinated in my head somewhere around 2005, was to compose music inspired by each of the twelve months of the year. I must admit that apart from the month of December, there are not a lot of clues to where the musical themes come from.\r\n \r\nSo I went with the idea of twelve different instrumental parts and to do so, I assigned a key for each month. So the first month, January is in C, February is Db and so on... it goes up a semitone for each other month. All parts end up on the fifth degree of the next tune.\r\n \r\nI proceeded almost always recording the drums first and then adding one by one the other tracks until I judge that enough was enough. I started this project in 2006, and there has not been any systematic order. I then carefully checked to not always use the same chord progressions and the same tempos. There are some sequences and also 2 loops that I used and that will be mentioned in the description of each month, but the majority of sounds is produced in real time with a MIDI synthesizer plugged into an interface to get VST sounds from in the computer.\r\n \r\nSo, even though I call the sounds by the name of instruments like piano or bass or whatever, they are always virtual sounds generated from a soft synth or samples; except for any drum parts, which are real. I did this project with the intention of playing drums without any form of correction. It is in that spirit that I realized this project. To my drum kit, I've added a pad containing sounds of its own and it is always played as an integral part of my drum set. However, I converted some of the audio from my drums to MIDI drums to double track some of the parts for a wider, more precise sound.\r\n \r\nThis project was originally designed to be used to bring another project already recorded, mixed and mastered to life: \"Schetagne & gang! \". As I spent all my savings with the project \"Schetagne & gang!\", who remained on the shelf and has never brought a single penny, I decided to do the \"12 months\" project on a shoestring budget.
